IGetMail Automatically Downloads email and forwards your email to your Exchange Server or remote SMTP Server |
IGetMail - OverviewWhat is IGetMail?IGetMail is a Windows utility that automatically downloads POP3 email messages from multiple remote servers, to a single, local Microsoft Exchange Server. IGetMail works with your Exchange Server (or other SMTP-compliant email server) to automate the downloading of email from multiple remote servers. When you have a Microsoft Exchange Server AND you are using an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to host your company's Internet domain or website, you will experience an email routing problem. Your employee's incoming email messages are sent to the ISP's computer that is hosting your domain. These messages are stored on your ISP's server, waiting for YOU to pull the messages down. IGetMail solves this email routing problem for you. It automatically retrieves the emails from the ISP's remote servers and forwards these messages to your local Microsoft Exchange Server. And it runs according to a time schedule that you define. Once IGetMail sends the messages to your Exchange Server, your local email server can complete its job and route the emails accordingly. IGetMail can download messages sent to multiple Internet domains. This is designed for companies that receive email addressed to one or more domains. IGetMail downloads and sorts emails sent to "catch all accounts" or Internet domain accounts; forwarding the sorted mail as required by Exchange Server; which in turn distributes them appropriately. IGetMail also supports downloading of messages from multiple individual accounts. And IGetMail is designed to streamline your email collection process when you have employees using accounts established with third-party email suppliers, such as Yahoo or Gmail.
